Years ago, when I was thinking about what the ideal mosque would be like, I imagined it like a resource center. The imam would be well-read and well-connected so that no matter what you needed, she or he could point you in the right direction. That’s the goal of this section– to provide resources.

No doubt, it’s a challenge for just one person to compile all of these resources, so you are welcome to fill in the blanks, just shoot me a message.

This section is divided into three parts: Books, Products, And Links & Other Resources (With Descriptions).

Books: I truly believe that if you want to make a difference in the world, you need to read. As much as you can. When I first started HijabMan, a huge section of it was of devoted to questioning various aspects of Islam. Critical thinking was a direct result of my reading.

Links/Resources: Looking for counseling services? Want to make your own dishwasher detergent? Set up a free landline? Whatever it is, hopefully I’ll be covering it on this page.

Products: While I believe it is much more virtuous to buy used goods than to buy new, and while I believe materialism corrupts our souls, I admit that there are certain tools that help me do things I wouldn’t normally be able to do. I encourage you to support local businesses, especially those who treat earth and everything on it with respect. Unfortunately, we live in a world where that isn’t always possible. Point is, do the best you can. Here you’ll find a list
of products that help me on a day to day basis, from helping me prepare food for my family to photographing weddings.
